History.
A journey that began with one visit—and became a life in Sri Lanka.
Personal experience, local family ties and decades of travelling across the island shape every journey we create.
After my first visit to Sri Lanka in late 1997, I immediately fell in love with this beautiful country and its remarkable people. Even after a 17-day journey and returning home, Sri Lanka would not let me go.
The following year I travelled through Mexico, Belize and Guatemala, but my thoughts kept returning to Sri Lanka. In 1999, I came back—and decided that this was the place I wanted to continue exploring.

Before settling here, I had visited Sri Lanka 33 times. In December 2013, I married a Sinhalese woman and made the island my home. Those years of travel and family life have given me a deep knowledge of Sri Lanka—knowledge I now share with people dreaming of their own unforgettable holiday.
Many travellers first found their way through me and the website of the Ayubowan Yaluva Sri Lanka Foundation. I previously arranged tours from the Netherlands; today I create them in Sri Lanka together with Wasana Fernando and a trusted group of highly experienced drivers who are proud to introduce guests to their homeland.
Whether you want to explore Sri Lanka for a few days or several weeks, every journey can be shaped around your interests, pace and personal wishes.
